Regulations hit smaller US banks hardest

Small US banks took the brunt of the burden from recent regulations imposed on them. With community banks disappearing daily, local small businesses are left with a financing void they must fill. 

There are economies of scale when dealing with regulation.

“It does seem like smaller institutions are the hardest hit,” said Robert Greene.
